Our client is in the home security business and has a growing development team. They quickly grew out of their personal Heroku account and adding and removing developers had become a cumbersome task. This left room for human error to present opportunities for malicious intent.
Impact
Needing better access controls, team management, and isolated networks, our client asked CG Infinity to migrate their 75 apps from a personal account to an Enterprise tenant. If we didn’t provide a solution for our client, they would face an increased risk in security as it has become increasingly difficult for them to manage access on an individual and per-app basis.
Solution
Needing better access controls, team management, and isolated networks, our client asked CG Infinity to migrate their 75 apps from a personal account to an Enterprise tenant. If we didn’t provide a solution for our client, they would face an increased risk in security as it has become increasingly difficult for them to manage access on an individual and per-app basis.
Result
Our client can now take advantage of features including support for organizations, teams, and granular access controls. They can also take advantage of shared database resources, isolate networks, configure SSO, and manage PCI compliant resources. When 30 users were able to sign in with SSO and Enterprise training was delivered to the broader IT organization, our client knew that this project had been a success. Furthermore, Line-of-Business developers now have their own teams in Heroku to provision their own resources (marking the end of “provisioning” being an IT-only commodity).
