QA Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:
Summary of Position
You will be a part of the full feature development lifecycle, working closely with a development team. You will be responsible for working on designing test strategies, documenting detailed test cases, executing test cases, and automation testing for the features. This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to deliver on time with quality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Role & Responsibilities:

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes using tools like Jenkins.
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git to manage test scripts and configurations.
  • Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through their resolution.
  • Conduct testing of RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity in relational databases.
  • Develop and maintain test data sets for various testing scenarios.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to a positive and cooperative work
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to create, execute, and manage test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Banking industry experience, particularly in core banking testing with Jack Henry.
  • Knowledge of banking industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Desktop/Web/Mobile/API automation.
  • Proficiency in both Automation and Manual testing.
